The music of the London-based saxophonist, composer, and bandleader with Caribbean roots is difficult to classify: she effortlessly blends jazz, classical, R&B, and dubstep into a completely unique sound that made her world famous in 2020 with her Mercury Prize-nominated debut album “Source.” After receiving praise from Pitchfork, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and the BBC, the energetic visionary toured around the globe, supported Khruangbin, and played sold-out headline shows and festivals such as Glastonbury and Newport Jazz. On her second album, “Odyssey,” released in 2024, she further refines her sound mixture and is now rightly considered one of the most groundbreaking international jazz musicians of the contemporary scene.
