Nils Landgren Funk Unit

The six-piece Swedish funk powerhouse led by Nils Landgren—trombonist, singer, composer, and artistic director of Jazz Baltica—and bassist Magnum Coltrane Price has been thrilling audiences since its founding in 1994 with an absolutely rousing blend of funk, soul, rhythm & blues, and jazz. Precise horn arrangements meet driving grooves in a band that, as a close-knit collective, has developed a telepathic musical chemistry over decades—a sound captured on ten studio and two live albums to date. With this band, anything is possible—except sitting still!
