Accessibility
We do everything we can to make ELBJAZZ as relaxed and enjoyable for all visitors, and to ensure that the venues, ticket desks and refreshment offerings are as accessible as possible for wheelchair users.
The following ELBJAZZ venues offer barrier-free accessibility:
The festival site at Blohm+Voss including the stages Main Stage, Am Helgen, Schiffbauhalle, and the Jazz-Truck.
HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie, the HfMT Young Talents Stage, and Hauptkirche St. Katharinen.
Important note: We are not currently able to provide separate platforms, which is why wheelchair users may have restricted visibility at the above-listed stages if the venue is extremely busy.
Disabled toilets are located on the festival site at Blohm+Voss, in front of and in the Elbphilharmonie, and in Hauptkirche St. Katharinen.
Mobility
When moving between the festival site at Blohm+Voss and the venues around the Elbphilharmonie, we recommend you use the bus shuttles because these vehicles are barrier-free and lowerable, while the boats are not.
Tickets
Guests with “B” on their disabled person’s pass and wheelchair users can bring one accompanying person with them to ELBJAZZ for free. The accompanying person will be given a festival armband at the ticket desk upon presentation of this ID document and a festival ticket.
If you have a “B” disability pass and/or are a wheelchair user and would like to attend a concert in the Elbphilharmonie, please select the concert you want to attend during the booking process, and then contact us via the following email address, stating your booking number: barrierefrei@elbjazz.de. The tickets for the Elbphilharmonie will be kept for you to collect at the venue.
