Neither an Arabian stallion nor a farm horse: Warmbloods are animals that combine the positive characteristics of different horse temperaments. It is only fitting that Warmbluetig, the band, is just as adept at a brisk modern jazz trot as it is at a restrained, folky gait. The quartet's bandleader is Australian guitarist and improviser Danica Hobden, who will be releasing her debut album with her Hamburg-based band later this year. Hobden has a bachelor's degree in both classical guitar and jazz guitar - a diversity from which Warmbluetig's approach between folk, jazz, rock and classical genres benefits. And now: Giddy up!
