They’ve known each other since they were nine years old: Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson were neighbours in the London suburb of Sheperd’s Bush. After initial musical projects, the friends formed their soul-inspired band Jungle in 2013. The first three albums have notched up more than a billion streams, and half of Europe seems to have nodded their heads to hits such as “Busy Earnin’” and “Casio”. On the latest album Volcano, Jungle have modernised their sound with raps and caressing synths, without neglecting the soul. Jungle’s live performances are an experience not to be missed, always with at least six members unleashing their euphoric disco anthems and snappy electro-funk.
