HFMT BIGBAND FEAT. LUCAS BRUM

Lucas Brum goes into raptures when he talks about the HfMT Big Band. "I lead the band, but there are no real hierarchies. It's all about camaraderie!" The Brazilian composer and guitarist conducts the big band at ELBJAZZ for a program that exclusively features his own songs. He has been studying in Hamburg for a year and a half - since then he has been increasingly involved with the music of his South American homeland. On the HfMT stage, he will present his extensive, colorful and dazzling repertoire. It is somewhere between Afro-Brazilian dance music Jongo, Samba-like Choro and modern jazz.
